I have not had this experience myself but here is one thought: you likely have tried this, but if not - power down (holding the 'OK' and Power key (far right) on the front panel.
Unplug the AC connector - leave off for 30-minutes to overnight
Reconnect and hopefully, reboot.
If not, perhaps one of our colleagues has some advice, or you should contact the Support Team.
Regards,
Chet

When you are referring to PREVIEW, do you mean the PREVIEW DVI MONITOR SIDE or the PREVIEW windows of your softwares to review your effects prior to rendering?
If it is the PREVIEW DVI SIDE, then your unit went into the DEFAULT setting of ANALOG. Simply, connect an ANALOG output to a monitor and switch back the SCREEN setting to whatever your preference.
IF...you are not getting a boot-up, pull
ALL of your wires out of the unit and let it sit for several hours.
IF.....the unit does not power-down, do the above after you do a FPD via the OK and POWER BUTTON-holding both together at the same time.
BTW: I have used DESHAKER w/o any problems. Good Luck!!!

And to go into a bit more clarification on Lou's instructions, it will default to analog YC so you have to connect a monitor with an S-Video hookup to get a monitor output at that point.
After doing so you can easily switch it back to whatever mode you were using.
I personally do not think an analog YC output is the appropriate default monitor output for the S4000Pro or any monitor in this day and age and wish they would change that.
As luck would have it it does not really affect me as the primary video monitor I use has analog YC, VGA and DVI so I just keep them all hooked up and can switch to the YC input with a simple monitor on screen menu selection, but I still don't think YC should be the default.

Yes, but it could be it has gone into some sort of monitor bug that simply needs resetting and you cannot see how to do so.
You can change monitor settings with PowerKey without seeing what you are doing.
I suggest trying to set it to the default analog YC setting to test this if you have PK.
To do so:
You use the Multiple Pages icon just to the left of the Control key on the physical keyboard in combination with the letter S key.
Then the letter S key by itself, twice.
Then hold the up cursor down for a minute. (that gets you to Single Monitor 4:3 mode).
Hit the Return key twice and the unit will power cycle and come back up in the default single S-Video monitor mode.

Does the machine (check the front LCD panel) not respond at all - completely dead ?
If you are getting some sort of noise from it I'd try booting with the software disk in it (you'll have to get the DVD drawer open of course
) - then you can select, for example, HDMI/DVI as it does an update.
If you're getting absolutely nothing from it, and you have left it completely unplugged for a while, then I guess the PSU 'may' have given up the ghost and you'll have to give support a go on Monday.

Thanks guys for all the quick respones to my problems. Sorry i couldnt reply in an early fashion i was out on a shoot. But the problem still precist, i finally decided to bite the bullet and do a full destructive instillation, for some reason the machine refuse to laod fully the BOGART SE V1.5/2.2 nor the BOGART 2.1E. It only accepted the BOGART SE V1.3C/2.0C. With BOGART SE V1.3C/2.0C. The system is back up and running, but you know the rest of the story i cant do nothing beacause of the drop frames.

Rob,
I would suggest you call Tech Support on that one. It's possible you have a corrupt version of the OS and need to download a new clean copy.
