I have loaded a 96 minute program into Arabesk, normal image quality, uncompressed audio. I created four chapters. (I also deleted another film before I loaded this one.)
The Add Film window is telling me the approximate size is 97% and that free capacity is MINUS 87%. Consequently the entire program does not record to the disk.
What's going on?

Re: Project Too Big?
Could it be that you accidently loaded this film twice? Also try changing the audio to compressed...although 96 minutes should fit.

Ron,
You obviously have a film left over in Arabesk.
Go down and delete it and then go back to Add Film.

At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.

I did delete the film Arabesk told me was loaded before I added the new film. I guess I will start all over again and see what happens.

Re: Project Too Big?
Ron,
Go into Arabesk and click on: "Films, Chapter Menus" this will show you each of the films that have been added into the separate sector of the hard drive for Arabesk and are ready to render and then burn into a DVD.
If you have deleted a film from your editing area in smart edit, this doesn't remove it from Arabesk. You MUST go to the "Film, Chapter Menus" area and Highlight each of the films listed there and then hit "
REMOVE FILM" This will take it out of Arabesk.
Some times you will accidently hit the "add Film" button twice and it'll be in there a second time when you only think you have it once. The "Film, Chapter menus" page is the only place to find out what's really still in the Arabesk Sector of your Hard Dive.
The fact that your counter has a negative number shows that you have way more than the DVD in NORMAL mode can handle.

Re: Project Too Big?
Well, I cleared everything out and started all over again. Seems to have worked this time.
Now I am dealing with a DVD compatability problem. One of the four chapter stamps cannot be activated on some of the DVD players I have tried the disk on. On other players it reads fine. I guess I will experiment with different formats and manufacturers and see which is the most compatible.

Ron,
You will also want to check and see that your SmartEdit, Arabesk, and firmware versions are all up to date as well. This sometimes helps with compatibility issues.
