Which Format
From time to time my church will ask me to edit a video on my Solitiare. I am not sure the format that they give to me but I am unable to input it into my editor by playing the dvd that they provide me. They have asked me what format do I need to play it into the editor. I only input with mini-dv tape. The church records to a hard drive in a pc and then they use a program to convert it for use to burn a dvd. I need to tell them the dvd format that the Solitaire will read. Thanks

Re: Which Format
The Cassie will only "read" the DVDs that you have created with the DVD-Arabesk software.
But why don't you put that DVD into your external standalone DVD player and feed this signal via the analog cables into the Solitaire?
This is supposed to work with any DVD that your DVD player can play back.

Re: Which Format
Billy, assuming you have tried a DVD player, I can think of 2 possibility's. I have had each happen over the years. The Dvd that was provided by the church could be DVD+R in which case a DVD-R would not play it. Another possibility is the disc is in a format only a computer could read. MOV< AVI etc. I had this happen 2 weeks ago when a customer brought a DVD for me to include in her project. Her son directed me to download a converter. Another situation I just thought of is I had a client bring me a disc that had not been finalized. I hope I have helped. Bob..
