Samsung BD-P1600/XAA plays AVCHD from Arabesk recorded to BD disks but not when recorded to DVD-R.

Let's not forget an all around and best bang for the buck: Play Station 3. ALSO the new JVC is slated to play AVCHD.

Also be aware certain PANASONIC BLU-RAY players will work for a limited time. It has been tested that it has something to do with the read angle of the player's laser after a 30 min period. This is the reason why some of AVCHD ARABESK discs are stuttering and pausing, not the mechanics of the original burn.

Well it's a been a while - but with the advent (over here) of Arabesk v4.9 I thought I'd have another look at BD players with an AVCHD DVD-R.
The PS 3 is still a brilliant tool for both BD & AVCHD and the Media Manager plays very well too - best if you have a BD unit fitted (with a DVD burner the playback might not be as smooth).
On the domestic front (in the UK at least) all these played (and were marked with an AVCHD sticker);

Sony BDV 360IS
LG BD 350
LG 2.1 BD Home Cinema
Pioneer BPP LX70
Samsung HT Z320R
Toshiba BDX 2000
Panasonic DMR BS750

These units wouldn't play (but then none were marked with an AVCHD sticker);

Panasonic SA BTX70
Panasonic BMP BD80
Logik LBD 2000
Sharp BD HP21

Received this from Ed Swetz: Below AVCHD-DATA DISC from the program mode-probably will with ARABESK as well.

The Vizio player is great for the money. I bought it at B.J.'s for $119.00. It's the model VBR110.

I just burned my first Blu Ray disk on my new S 4100 using Aleratec Blu ray disks ( $ 4.85 each - B & H Photo ) and it played just fine on my Oppo BD83 Blu Ray player. YA !!!! It looks great on my 106" wide screen with a SIM2 Lumis projector. This is what I've been waiting for - it's outstanding!!
