what type of file?

What type of file is an HD video, and what kind of disc can it burn to as an HD product? If Blu-ray is it, how to export it as an HD file and then get it burned on an appropriate disk? I am brand new at HD work, and don't know how to burn the final product, when my editor is a Renomee. I am told in here that the Ren will burn an SD copy of the product onto an ordinary disk, but what about burning as HD?

The 4100 is capable of Blu-ray and utilizing HDV, MTS,(AVCHD).M2T, MP4 and the many flavors of HD even on a regular DVD for shorter projects.

Don't know if you can burn AVCHD direct to a regular DVD as I can do with the the 4100Pro and 4000Pro using the RENO plus.

The Reno cannot burn blu-ray DVDs unless you have the ultra card upgrade (I think this is no-longer available).

You CAN output an HDV stream via firewire based HDV camcorder or deck.

You can firewire out to tape and then into any PC that has been bought in the last four years (dual core or better, etc) and burn a Blu-ray with Nero or tons of other programs if you install a blu-ray burner in the PC.
