shopping portable hard drives

I'm shopping in Ebay for a portable hard drive for my camera, so I can dump the hard drive and keep shooting. Is there anything specific I need to look for to get a portable video hard drive? I am assuming this output is Mpg-4, and it will be fed into the Renomee the same way. Ideas on this? And places I might shop to find besides Ebay? Thanks. Looking for up to 1 tb drive, as I am told it is on the market. thanks.
