HELP!!!

Post by flvideo »

I went to split a scene in three parts. When I went to create thumbnails it is locked up. Its been there about 20 minutes now. Has anyone else experienced this before? Ifso what did you do. I have several hours invested in this project and I don't want to lose what I have. Thanks Bob...

Bob,

You indicate you 'went to create thumbnails' -- can you share more about what process you were engaged in, not certain where you went as that could help one of us assist you.

Chet

Hey Chet I was splitting a 8 minute or so scene to put a title on the front of it. I split a 1 second segment an click use, then I split a 8 second for the title and then I go to the end and click use. Well when I clicked use after the 3rd segment it went to creating thumbnails and stayed there. Bob..

Hold the power button in to cause a forced power down, Bob.

Then power back up.

You may or may not lose the Split choices you just made, but that should be all at the most unless you run into the really crappy catastrophic crash.

Not likely as those are thankfully quite rare.
My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Thanks Guys, I took the bull by the horns and unpluged it. I couldn't think of any thing else to do. It booted back up and all I lost was the scene I was working on and not al of that, the first one second segment was there. Just when I think I have this monster licked it rears its ugly head and does something off the wall like this. What causes those things? I have never had that exact thing happen but other wierd unexplained ventures. Maybe its a belated Holloween gift.
Thanks Chet and Tim for responding. Bob...
