SD card

Post by flvideo »

Can anyone tell me if I can import video from a SD card to my Renny. I am contemplating buying a camera that shoots on a SD card. Is it feasible? Thanks Bob....

Hi,

Unfortunately the answer is no for Cassies under SmartEdit.

Only the generation 3 machines with Bogart are able to to this.

Cheers.

.Check your camera's manual. If you have a "video out", which some cameras do via a proprietary cable, attach that cable to your camera and then to the VIDEO (yellow) input of your Renomee.

Set your project to analog.

Go to your camera menu and place it on output via cable. This depends on the brand of camera

.Physically PRESS the RECORD button on your Renomee

.Once in the scene bin, you will have to manually SPLIT your video.

As stated above, BOGART makes this a simple procedure especially using Media Manager and actually, the BOGART side RECORD window will input directly to your scene bin in HD. The above method results in a SD project only
