My Solitaire "auto splits" footage from my GL2 and firwire input. It will not "auto split" footage from the JVC HM 700 and firewire input?

Any Cassie & JVC HM 700 users able to "auto split" scenes?

Thanks!

Ron,

Are you downconverting or going to HD?

Down converting does remove the cut recognition points that the system uses to find these splits automatically.

Using the setting that Lou suggests lets the system look for time codes changes and then uses them.

I've never found this method that reliable (please tell me differently) as it seems to work fine for the first 15 to 20 minutes worth of footage and then just gives up

In Bogart 3, got to the main setting and set the IN/OUT to #5. You should be in business.
Chet's seminar showed us this method.
