At the moment this is the list;
hp5150, hp5740, hp5440, hp5940, HP Photosmart D5160, HP Photosmart D5360, HP Photosmart D5460 and PCL 4 (Printer Command Language 4) compatible printers by HP.
. . . with the D5460 model being the "DVD" one. I'd have expected the list of manufacturers to grow by now, as we're on a Linux based OS, but I guess we'll just have to wait

Is the Epson Printer the only one that prints on DVD's? When my present printer crashes I would like to see if there are any others.

I'm not sure what you mean by "compatible with the SPro 4000. Do you mean compatible with the Caladan program? If that is the case, you are limited to HP printers.

Hi Franklin
As you have a PC or Mac and If Canon printers are avaiable in you part of the world it's another option to consider then your not tied to Caladan and can be printing discs while editing.

Hello Franklin,
I am not aware of any more compatible HP Printers (other than the model numbers listed above). I do also enjoy the capability of the Casablanca Caladan software to pull stills directly from clips in the Scene Bin for my labels, album covers, etc. and have used the export function after creating a label in Caladan to export that as a JPEG onto a flash drive and pop it into my Epson printer for printing externally. I have also used the Epson Create CD/DVD freeware application that comes with my Epson printer. But for my larger jobs (like my Casablanca Foolproof Tutorials) I an outside professional company (CAM Audio) who prints my design, duplicates, shirkwraps the product, etc.
Regards,
Chet
