Audio problem

I have a piece that I shot a couple weeks ago and I screwed up. We got to the shoot and realized the people promoting the show had no sound system as such. They showed up with an old Radio shack Amp with 1 speaker and a radio shack mic with a 1/4 inch plug on the end. The only output was the speaker out. I had discussed the sound prior to going with the promoter and he assured me . I had my mixer which I hooked up and attempted to mic the person he was interviewing. In doing this the host put the hand held to the mouth of the person being intterviewed prducing a bad feed back in my system. I couldn't figure anything out so I abandoned the mixer and put my wireless on the single speaker. I got the interview but it is so basey its hard to understand what they are saying. Can anyone advise me as to what I can do with this audio, short of scraping the interview. I hate to do that because it is with an old timey Modified driver from the Norteast, Buggsey Stevens. It was a once in a life time opurtunity. Thanks Bob..

Let's start with the following program and work from there:

Do you have AUDIO PACK? ALSO.....do you have access to an EQ on a PC. Luckily BOGART has an EQ. Unfortunately SE does not.

Lou I don't have the Audio pack either. I can't even find it on install Product. I went to the Macro System web site and looked at the audio pack. I don't know if it would do what I need it to do. How much is it? Bob...
