Good News

Post by Alan »

Yesterday a friend came round so that we could do a compilation DVD of films he had made in the past. We loaded them into a spare project and topped and tailed them. Ah? He did not want a DVD with chapters he needed them to play as separate films. All my project where in use, What now? I've had Store 'n' Share for a while but never used it. So the first thing was to copy all the films to the back up hard drive. No problems there. Opened up the Store 'n' Share HD, will it work? Yes the films copied from one HD to the other one. Pressed auto split and there they all where ready to transfer to eight of the new 30 empty projects. And yes they all loaded into Arabesk and my friend has his compilation DVD.

Alan in PAL land.

Now that's awesome. I can't wait to see it here in NTSC land.

I just purchased Store "n" Share as with a S4000 your limited to the internal drive of 500gb so i also purchased a 1tb Seagate Expansion USB 2 ex drive from Amazon for £64 delivered.

Loaded the software, connected the drive, was seen straight away, asked if i wanted to format all done and dusted in a couple of minutes, another difference i noticed the S4000 didn't shut down when changing drives as my Solitaire did.

A strange downside to this is the usage of the ex drive is not shown just the usage of the fixed drive,i've e-mailed MSDE to see if this will be corrected in a future update.

The price of £132 in Pal land is i think a bit high for something we had included in previous models of being able to switch drives.
Regards
Charles

Topping and tailing? I really should not use non technical terms in my posts. What I was doing was trimming each end of the video to just the right length for each finished project. When cooking beetroot you cut of the top and cut of the root before dropping them in the pan; as with carrots. We Brits. are strange are we not, thinking about preparing vegetables for the pot when trimming scenes?

Cheers Alan.
