Backup trouble!
I am trying to back up my edited footage on dv tape and something has changed. Probably me!! Let me descibe what I am doing. I put my tape in the recorder and Que it to the proper spot. I click on Finish and in the finish screen I click on dv backup and then DV- recorder controls. Then I click on record to VCR. The green pause light comes on in the recorder monitor but in stead of going to rec which is what it has typically done the pause light just goes off and it returns to the finish screen. Am I doing something wrong or forgotten a step? Thanks for any help I can get. Bob...

You haven't slid the write protect tab open on accident or on purpose have you?
My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Re: Backup trouble!
No I checked that first. I guess I had a corupt file on the start of thr scene I was trying to back up. I had made a scene of the crashes on my edited video and that was what I was trying to backup. When I got back from church I trimmed a bout 10 seconds off the front of the scene and it recorded it. I had fast forwarded the dv tape and tryed and it did the same thing. I deduced from that it wasn't a corrupt spot on the tape. Go figure!!! Thanks Tim for your help. Bob...
