Is there a way to upload a video (specifically HD) directly from my S4000Pro to Vimeo or YouTube?

Seems like there ought to be. I thought I heard this discussed in Davenport last year, but I had no interest then.

Not 'directly' but you can export a project or scene to Media Manager from Bogart Archives and then export from there to a Thumb Drive and compress it (in Media Manager) for the web/YouTube/Vimeo.

I'm sure there's an article on Chet's web site somewhere . . .

Save yourself a headache. In HD:

Use your PROJECT ARCHIVE sending your HD SB to a flash drive. SAVE this SB as HDV (MPEG-2) to a flash drive.

Then UPLOAD that file directly to YOU TUBE.

It will be in HD

That's all there is to it.

What Lou says Frank.

I have not had much satisfaction with anything related to Media Manager, but simply plugging in a USB flash drive and using Project Backup set to HDV to it gives a file that can be directly uploaded to YouTube with HD results without any transcoding formats, etc.

Simplicity itself.

One caution, when you first can playback HD uploaded to YouTube it will be a bit inferior, but given some render time after it has been uploaded (nothing you have to do, it's automatic) and it gives excellent HD results.
