hello guys
I am considering buying the the key of quadcam.
knew that in the Smart Edit it resulted in videos no more with 10 minutes or something like that ... had limitation!?!?!?
the show takes about 1h30m. I put three cameras. I need to edit in quadcam. I want results and not have limitations as well as in smart edit.
works well in Bogart without limitations?
Thanks
obrigado

Hi Obrigado, I use quadcam and I love it. There is no limitations on time that I know of. I edit 11/2 hour pieces all the time. One thing is you have to have the cameras run continuously when you edit at least the way I do it and it works good. There is a way you measure your cameras before you go to the field but I have never done that. Maybe someone else could explain that to you. Hope this helps. Bob....

Hi Tiago
As Bob wrote before there is No limit off how long the footage can be.
But I can give you some advise to break it up in equal 15 or 20 min parts because when switching from one preview screen
to another you use the left track ball button. When you exadently press the right button it stops and all your switches that you
made are gone and you have to start all over again. I wrote some thing for you on the Australian forum site for you too.
Before using the software please read some posts about Quadcam previous posted here these are the links.

Hello Jeanton
thanks for the tip I'll be careful. I think using the keyboard (key 1 and key 2) will be safer to make a choice selection of camera.
I will experiment with a piece then I do in total.
Portugal is on top in the World Cup, but here as the coach says "I gotta a feeling" - The_Black_Eyed_Peas...(I hope its a good feeling: D) was the song chosen by him to the team spirit
on Friday we will play against Brazil ... I think I scored as many goals all at once ... could save a few for friday: D
Bob my name is Tiago, just at the end thanked in Portuguese: D but laughed about it: D
Thanks all
Obrigado

Tiago, I bet you did get a laugh out this dumb Redneck American. LOL! I have been around the globe several times but the only tounge I can speak, and not all that well, is english. Jeanton do you measure your cameras before you shoot? I haven't done that and I am afraid to try. What is the advanage of that?
I find that I learn just what I have to to do what I need to do and I stick with it. If it ain't broke don't fix it is my motto. You turned me on to Auto Split and I am eternally grateful for that. It saves a bundle of time. Bob..

Hi Bob
I don't measure the cams anymore as they dropped this feature for the Bogart version but it worked great for me.)
Tim mentioned that in NTSC it was not working so well so they never used it.
You could have a try if you want.(it is still available for your Renommee)
Make sure all the internal time clocks have nearly the same time and always the same date on them otherwise it doesn't work.
Just before you go on your shoot you connect your camera (by firewire) to your machine open up Quadcam and press measure camera.
Do this one by one and then go to your shoot. When you come back you have to load your footage in the machine in the next 24 hours for the best result.
Then when you go and use the Quadcam software you put your back ground scene up and pick your insert scenes.
If everything works as it always has done for me the cameras should be automaticly in sinc with each other.
When I was using it there was NO problem if I stopped the insert cameras during recordings because it knew when it was stopped you just didn't see any footage in the preview screen. When I started filming again it started showing the picture again so I could switch again.
I realy mis this as it was working for me.
If I was you I would just give it a test run in and arround the house with No breaks in the background camera footage offcors but stopping and starting the insert cameras.
The key is to measure them as close to the event as possible.
Good luck.
Usa-Algeria 1-0 Just through to the next round
