Bogart V3 Odd behavior

Greetings,
I have a colleague (who does not use email/computers) who is running Bogart V3.2C on Casablanca S4100. Today data from one project was showing up in a different project, and when you playback one scene a different scene appears. He called MSUS Tech Support but apparently their offices are closed through Monday for a (much deserved) Holiday Weekend.
I told him I would share this here in case any colleague had any similar experience and wishes to share a remedy. I had heard of this years ago with a previous Smart Edit OS but not yet with any Bogart version?
Regards,
Chet

See my Listserve post. This is a new one on me with Bogart.

I ran into problems like this some weeks ago. Not sure why. But it was nasty. And Photo-Studio is my personal suspect (again). As soon as this program crashes for any reason, you can be sure to run into trouble somewhere else later.... Just my 2 cents...

Thanks Lou and Volker -- for those inquiring minds who may not subscriber to the
Cassie Tips List, here is Lou's post:
Is it combined with another project? Did he use the new COPY TO PROJECT menu and added it to an empty project?
Different scene: Did he use AVCHD? If so, possibly the IN/OUT points are not set in the MAIN menu.
Are we mixing formats?
Downconverts?
HDV?
AVCHD?
Other than that, either try a FULL INSTALL with a prior backup OR an update. Updates generally do not work if there is a bug in the initial download or a bad download which could occur on a PC.
So many variables.
And here is a post from another colleague and my comments on this same topic:
Yes, it still happens from time to time, normally when the drive is fuller, or forced shut downs,, and once in a while just out of the blue. Most of the time it is a wrong thumbnail with correct content when played and often the thumbnail is from a different project, but it is not a repeatable bug. I still drop in and out of projects to do forced saves, before shutting down and if doing a lot of rendering in a project, just do a quick switch and back for more rendering.. that has helped stop that issue.

Thanks much Roger.
I also click into and back out of the Record menu to 'force' a save and also always shut down on an empty project to shut down on an empty buffer.
Thanks again,
Chet

After doing any significant render or edit segment I switch to the Record screen and back using the icon at the bottom, then Create a Scene of the segment, Clipboard it to another Project I have specifically designated for this which by default has me Switching Projects and then go back to editing.
This also saves lost editing time when you get one of those catastrophic crashes where it comes back up and says it has Restored from an earlier archived version. I also take the time to use the newer HD Backup when finishing for the night and let it do this transfer while sleeping. If it's really, really important finished footage I also go out to digital tape.
This seems Virtually OCD, but hey, while it takes more time incrementally it saves a ton of time when the significant event (major crash) happens and so I balance momentary irritation with long term peace of mind. LOL
One last note, I never use Photo Studio as I prefer Pro Show Producer on the PC so perhaps not using PS is why I have not experienced this old SE migration issue with Bogart.

Initial subject of post never happened yet in my system.
I'm using PS3 V3.3
I do a lot with PS3.
In my films I mix video with animated photos.
But I never had a sytem crash using PS3.
Just recently I added 40 PS3 animated photos to storyboard.
Film was finished having no problems.
