Just curious, I haven't been on the forums for a tad and looking at the blog, not much posted lately, nor can I find his name anywhere.

He does seem to have gone a bit quiet - after all his enthusiasm, was looking forward to some better co-ordination between Macro & it's customers

I believe he is still with the company, although we haven't heard anything.

He was suppose to call me in regards to an introduction. Never heard from him. I know he is a bike racer and I like cycling and we have something in common.
It seems the MSUS is doing good updates to their website. Everything is up to speed.
Our best liaison is CHET. Tim and I do our best here and on the listserve but CHET is the main guy on this forum/listserve.

awww, I was missed!
Yup - still here! I've been unfortunately bogged down with parts of the business that aren't quite as much fun as blogging and facebooking - or telling people how ridiculously awesome we are. I've had the dubious pleasure of cranking out some super-duper top secret work that I can't tell you about. And starting up some targeted advertising. And meeting customers. And stressing out about inventory (we keep getting sporadic shipments, and then selling out of stock, then going on backorder, then getting our next sporadic shipment at unscheduled intervals - ugh)
I guess meeting with customers is pretty cool. I like that. Put that one in the "fun" column along with blogging and facebooking.
I'll try to post up some more content in the Blog this week - I have a few articles started but none finished. It's ok to call me a slacker, I can take it.
BTW -
- * Our editors now ship with quickstart guides (video AND paper) that have really reduced our initial support calls (thank goodness).
* I'm really excited about our 3D software and new Titler that we will see later this year (you will be too - the 3D software is truly game-changing. We're going to make Apple and Adobe really nervous).
* Loewe is starting to manufacture our editors full time soon (they've already done a couple of short "practice" runs) - so we'll have a predictable supply line as well as a large inventory of spare parts (yup - this one gives me big smiles too).
* We (MSUS, not MSDE) are probably going to be launching some more accessories and peripherals in the next month or 2.
* CAM Audio/ Casablanca Expert are putting on a Casablanca event in September.
* I've also been editing some video testimonials from customers for distribution on our soon-to-be-lauched youtube channel.
Is this post long enough? not yet....
Lou's right that I'm a "cyclist", although my lack of training might cause one to question the use of the term "competitive". We (my better half and I) have a bun in the oven - our second - and the parasitic nature of 3rd trimester rapid growth fetus has required some extra attention by yours truely at the Bice household. All that being said - I did get talked into a last minute mountain bike race entry this weekend... so last minute that I didn't get to pre-ride the course. And if that's not enough - I raced "expert" (Cat 1), one step below Pro. The cycling powers must have been on my side as I managed 4th. For you non-cyclists out there, the dreaded "4th" is no-man's-land - fast enough for some self-satisfaction, but not enough for glory or gloating as you've missed the podium by one spot (and the media, pictures, money, prizes, and large amounts of trash talking that goes with it).
ok - back to work.

One last note -
From a forum perspective - my policy on Forum's has always been that the manufacturer should allow forums to flourish "free" of influence from the manufacturer. This allows customers and end users to feel free to post good and bad about MSUS or it's products. We use this info to help influence product development and company policy.
I've seen MANY examples of manufacturer's involvement in forums resulting in posts and information that do NOT reflect the reality of the markets or manufacturer's offerings. This isn't an intentional side effect - but a side effect none-the-less.
You'll notice that 100% of our launches in 2010 and 2011 are driven 100% by customer feedback - a departure from past releases. This is not an accident or coincidence. Part of the feedback we use to influence these product related decisions comes from this forum - so yes, we "lurk" here often.
It seems like "the community" may want the occasional post by MSUS, so I'll try to do that without too much frequency or influence.
Thanks again!!

Hi Phillip,
You say. "You'll notice that 100% of our launches in 2010 and 2011 are driven 100% by customer feedback - a departure from past releases. This is not an accident or coincidence. Have you any news for us CBpaint users who have been waiting for over 2 years now for the 'coming soon' release for Bogart machines?
Cheers Alan
