Video setting

I normally use the normal setting for video and try to keep projects to 2 hrs or less. I have a project that is 2hrs and 30 min. I have set the video to reduced quality. How does this setting compare to lp on a dvd burner which is 180 min? I

I seldom use the reduced setting, but I have never had a complaint when I have. Most people will not notice unless you place the videos side by side to compare it, then they might.

A lot depends on how complex and detailed the backgrounds of your shots are and the amount of motion, especially fast, active motion there is in the video and even the transitions.

You can get various increased artifacting with the lower quality (higher compression) settings.

For fairly slow or no action, uncomplicated background scenes with only cuts and simple dissolves you will be fine.
