I need to hook up a classic I forgot been using firewire with my Solitaire. I
have a Sony DSR 11 that I use to put footage into the classic and record out of
the classic. I am using a Mackie 1402 audio mixer. I remember wheh I would
record out of the classic I had to switch cable.
The reason I am asking for help is that I put my Solitaire in the shop. I have
one project I would like to complete if I can get the Classic working.
Please feel free to send the information off line.

Re: Hooking up the Classic Cassie
Do I understand you want to download from DSR11 to Classic for editing? If so we first need to know if the Classic is DV or analogue. All Classics had a Firewire socket on the back but this was not connected on the analogue models so this is no clue. If the Classic is analogue then S-video is the next best option. You will be limited to the amount of footage you can download onto a Classic owing to its relatively small drives. Why do you need to use the mixer?
