Candy Factory has a multitude of endless backgrounds. These backgrounds are located in the ARCHIVE section of Candy Factory. Of course, the editor can also introduce many customized backgrounds in Candy Factory that are endless.

However, title manipulation in Candy Factory is not as vast as the new Title-Studio software just introduced.

I decided to use both softwares together to display outstanding Candy Factory coupled with Title-Studio
:

.Make TWO black 7 second scenes

.Add BOTH black scenes to the SB side by side

.Introduce CANDY FACTORY found in transitions and ADD to SB

.Make sure TIME is assigned to the full length of 7 seconds

.Assign TEXTURE before opening CANDY FACTORY

.OPEN the ARCHIVE section and experiment with the different backgrounds

.When satisfied...render and make a SCENE of that background to both the SB and/or scene bin

.OPTION: You have the ability to ANIMATE, to some degree, the background in the scene bin if so desired or just keep a static background

.ANIMATE via Drunken Man, Z-1 Drop, Underwater, Shift Hue etc. etc.-experiment with different softwares that produce motion

.ADD your customized background clip from the scene bin to your SB

.OPEN TITLE-STUDIO and simply make titles with styles of your choosing and ADD to the above background. You can choose any title effect.

Thanks for sharing that Lou -- I too love Candy Factory for not only embellishing titles but also the many very creative looking backgrounds, masks, etc that we can create. Thanks for getting the 'creative juices flowing'!

Chet

Thank you, Lou. This is a great tip. I don't have any title effects packages but at some point I want to try this with Blue Box to let video come through the text.

When are you going to get one of those new tiny HD cameras and show us what what you see on one of those bike rides?

Is Title Studio usable in SE9? Candy Factory alone needs two run-throughs to get all the tricks in. So many creative choices.

Craig - this is a cool effect (sometimes called a Keyhole or inverted key title). I have a tutorial on this process using the basic BlueBox here: http://www.casablancaexpert.com/articles/20100830

Jim - Title Studio is only compatible with Bogart OS Casablanca editors
(my understanding is that this new software requires/takes advantage of the new hardware/software capabilities in the newer editors).
