Ok...got my new Wacom tablet for CB Paint.
But ... pluged it into the back of the Solitaire and nothing ....?
Is there any additional software needed?
Do I put the Wacom software install C/D into the cassie?
The light on the Wacom indicates it has power.

Ron,
I now recall the need to calibrate your Tablet the first time you use it -- these instructions are found on page 19 of the Smart Edit 7 Manual in the section titled
3.3.1 Intuos tablet
That manual can be downloaded here:
http://www.macrosystem.de/downloads/SMARTEDIT7_en.zip
Hope that helps!

Chet

RON.......Important. Make sure each corner of the tablet is calibrated as close to the edge as possible.

Bummer,
I checked with Tiger Direct and they don't show the older Intuous 2 or Graphite 4 tablets (discontinued) so...
I called WACOM and talked to their TECH support and they said the Bamboo series uses the same driver as the older units therefore they will work in our editors so....
I ordered the Bamboo tablet from Tiger Direct and it will not show up under the Systems Settings that Chet suggested. The cassie must not see it at all since the Calibrate Tablet never pops up so ....
I just got off the phone with WACOM tech support and now they say the newer tablet (Bamboo) uses a different driver and that is probably why it doesn't show up on the cassie ....wish they would have told me that the first time
I am running SE 8.1, dual monitor mode with Screen 1 - VGA 800x600 60hz, Screen 2 - Video 4:3
Do we know if newer versions of SE will work with the newer WACOM tablets or if MS has plans to support newer tablets?

RonE, I would try to find a pre-owned tablet that is "officially" supported by Smart Edit.
If I remember correctly, you can use the Intuos2 and Intuos3 tablets (only in A5 size?), the PL510 and one smaller A6 tablet from Wacom.
I am afraid that Smart Edit won't see any major improvements or changes in the future.
