If a project is recorded in HD and edited in HD can the file output be both blueray and regular dvd? In other words can you burn a regular dvd and blueray from the same output file?

Yes.....BUT.......there will be a limitation of the amount of material on a regular DVD. About 20-27 minutes only, depending on motion. Regular DVD (non-dual) is 4.7 Gb's. Blu-ray is 25 or even 50 Gb's.

. . . or Arabesk can create a 'normal' DVD from the HD project (if that's what you meant).
These options are accessed from Settings in Arabesk.
It does take a long time and the quality isn't, as yet, as good as I'd expect from this process.
I currently send the finished HD project back to the camera and then let the camera convert it back to DV (into the machine) on the fly.
This produces a very good standard DVD and gives me a tape backup too.

I video dance recitals and would like to do the editing once. I want to video the shows tapeless in hd. I would like to make a standard dvd and make a master Blueray form the same storyboard. This way I can offer both formats.
