Solitaire Video Input Receptacles ?

Can anyone tell me if I can connect a mini camcorder's AV cable to a Solitaire? The camcorder's AV output port is a single pin type so I'd need a cable that would have a male pin on one end and a conventional 3 plug (video, 2 audio) configuration on the other end.

Bill,

Depends on the specifics of that camcorder port - if it is truly an AV port, supplying composite video and line level audio thru an adapter, then yes you could. Your Solitaire will take any composite video signal (through the RCA/Phono jack labeled 'Video in'). The trick can be finding the adapter/connector that will correctly match your camera. There are a few standard models and some camcorders have 'special' connectors. Might be easiest to consult the camcorder manual (you can likely find one online if the actual print version is not available to you). Here's a service I use: http://www.manualsonline.com/

Chet
