Hi Franklin,
Been there done that got a t-shirt ! so I know how you feel :(
I have now taken up the practice of always making scenes and then clipboarding everything over to another project every half hour.
It has helped me out once & saved my life.
I also save EVERYTHING to external HD of course at the end of edit day.
If you do get a corrupted file that affects everything on the drive then nothing can help you unfortunately even clipboarding.

That happend to me as well.

"The project was restored from an older blabla..."
Some clips were still there. But I thought that I am a clever guy because I did backup copies of all projects with HD Backup each day.
So I wanted to restore the proejcts. BUT the external hard drive or at least the data on that drive also was f**ked up somehow so it did not restore the whole thing and THEN EVERYTHING was gone on my unit.
I think I cried a little that night...

Then Hans tried to restore his old backups from external HDs and voila, some of his projects were corrupt as well.
SO what do we learn from this? DO at least two external backups each day on separate drives.

We are in 2011, and this problem remains unsolved,it is not fair :x

It is irresponsible not to have fixed long time a go
it is time to to take not only this but several more with respect
to us who still believe in this company.

To Germany,if you are reading this please is not just
to make a lot of money, is to FIX the problems of your
products.....

Dude ... try using a jacked up Dell, with Premier. You'll be surprised how easy it is to edit. Macro releases it stuff too early with all the bugs still there, then when you have questions, they want you to pay for the answers? whats that all about? almost grounds for a class action.
