I am starting to look into blu ray dvd burning and HD recording,
I am an old timer with casablanca, just found a mini DV with me and Gregg Hales in Prescott at the first casablanca conf.
I have a kron plus, and an original cassie 040 and my $1295.00 9 gb harddrive "scussi"
I am trying to figure out a way to record HD on site into SOMETHING, then be able to burn blu ray dvd's
a computer is an option,
casablanca is an option,
and what else.....
I will be using either panasonic P2 cards or sony 8x8
any advise is appreciated.......

Re: BUE RAY dvd's
I would recommend the new Casablanca S-6000 for your HD recording and Blu-Ray burning needs.
Also, I recommend the Sony PMW-EX1R SxS camera system as you can import 1920 X 1080 and 1440 X 1080 MPEG-2 footage very fast into Bogart; then edit and create Blu-ray files as well.
