I need a refresher

I was doing it all right Chet. I realized I had 76 minutes on the sample I was trying to burn. Is there a way to put moire than 72 minutes on a CD? Bob...

the 700 MB CD say they get 80 min. The old 72 MB only did 72 min.

I will have to look for those 700 MB CD's. I Occasionally make CD's of my Church Service and its hard sometimes to get the message down to 72 minutes. I hate to cut it because what I cut may be just what somebody needs to hear. Better yet maybe we need to disipline our speakers. LOL! Thanks Lowell....

Hello Bob,

As Lowell points out there is CD media which allows greater capacity than the most common 700 MB discs. But in my little research it is suggested that those higher capacity discs will not work in all burners/recorders. Other CD burning software does enable you to record up to 80-minutes of audio onto one of these 700MB discs but it is my understanding that the current capacity in the Casablanca Audio Export to CD function allows up to 72-minutes recording time.

I did recall reading somewhere recently that the next version of the OS may have the capacity to burn the full capacity of the blank media but I could not find that this morning.
So - safe bet for now (if you can) is to keep your audio recording under 72:00.

Thanks Chet. I don't make the CD's on a regular basis. When there is something special that the Pastor wants to distribute on CD I do them. Its not often enough for me to remember all. I made 50 of them this morning. So am I understanding it right? The 72 min limitation is the Cassie not the disc. Thanks Bob...
