I have a production wher I'd like to float thumnails thru my scene. Bottom to top or viceversa. Has anyone done this and could help me a bit. I have seen it many times but I have never had a need for it myself till now. I don't know if its possible with a cassie. Thanks Bob....

The software for that would be PIP Studios.

PIP is a default capability, PIP-Studios is an optional software with lots of motion, size, shape and transparency capabilities which I have always felt was one of the top optional software in both flexible usefulness and functionality.
If you think you bought it, then load it using an All Software CD and choose Activate.
If you own it and ever put the code in for it your machine will remember it and show (activate) it.
If it instead reads DEMO, you never put the code in and probably never owned it.
It is one I would not be without in our system as it allows so much more than simple moving PIP functions.

I looked in load Software and I didn't even see it in there. I have a number of hard drives so I may have it on another hard drive. I wish the Sftware could stay on the Computer with all the transitions and leave the hart drive for our projects. I will check other drives tomorrow. Thanks Tim. Bob...

Bob,
You don't have to look on other drives, just Insert an All Software CD, then go to Install Product and scroll down to it and choose Activate to see whether it activates (you have put the code in previously on one drive or another) or shows DEMO status which means you have never input the code.
ANY All Software CD will do as this is a software that has been out for years without any recent version updates.

To have a 'floating' effect of a PIP, you should check-out PIP STUDIO 3D. This will work better than the standard PIP because you can manipulate the PIP much better such as rotation, speed etc. It should be released in Bogart soon but is available for your current Gen 11 unit.

Well I put a software disc in and it was there and it activated but I can't find it. I don't remember ever using this software but evidently I installed it because it Activated without a code. Now where is it? I turned the Rennie off thinking it had to reboot to load it but I just fired it back up and nothing. Bob...

Bob,
PIP Studios is a Transition so it will be in the Transition menu.
The real, real basics are similar to the stationary PIP transition in that you place the background video Scene on the Storyboard and then the one you want to use as the Insert directly after it and then add the PIP Studios transition between the two with the duration you want it to last.
After that you have tons of capabilities with it although because you have tons of capabilities it's not the easiest software to master and use to it's full capabilities.
