How to delete archived photos on S 2000 using Bogart 2.4c

Post by TomCox »

Where are the instructions for deleting archived photos on a S 2000 using Bogart 2.4c given in the instruction manual? It may be so obvious that, if these instructions were a snake, I would be dead by now. In the chance that these instructions in the manual are non-existent, or not clear, please point me in the right direction.

My complete work flow path has been for .jpg files on my PC to be burned onto a CD and the CD moved by "sneaker-net" to the S 2000. (In my case it is not easy to hardwire the PC to the S 2000.) The CD is loaded into Media Manager and the photos archived. From the Video Editing function in the Bogart SE 2.4c these photos have been imported to the Scene Bin and then used in the Storyboard as needed. The problem is today some of these photos were distorted as though the image had been made of putty. I thought that I would delete them from the Scene Bin and re-import them and see if they were OK. If OK - problem solved. If not, I would delete them from the archive and re-archive them from Media Manager. Working backwards in this manner I hoped I could isolate the problem source. I have moved them to the Trashcan but, they remain in the Video Editing archive. In fact, I have tried to "re-archive" by telling Media Manager to archive on an existing file, but the problem remains. Therefore, any help in identifying the source of the problem and eliminating it, will be appreciated. By the way, the original .jpg files are on a par with hundreds of other such files that I have never had a problem with.

I am having difficulty understanding the exact problem and it is probaby me not you :-)

I assume that all the pictures are currently in the trashcan? Try deleting the entire trashcan if you have not already. I think this may help. ALSO: try to reimport via photo transfer and see what happens.
The fact that the .jpegs look distorted like putty, is telling me that the files 0 and 1's are corrupt.
