Renomee and HD

I am planning to edit my first HD project on my Renomee Plus. What is the process to eventually get the HD footage on a blu ray disc for client use? Any other tips for a HD first timer?

Thanks

Chet warned me that the Renomee will be extremely slow in processing HD. Its got the capacity, but its so much picture info, that the Ren is not a good choice for HD work. Can't speak to the rest of it.

Chet is right that doing much of anything in HD on a RenPlus is painful.

However, to get it to Blu-ray you would need to export it to HDV tape and then import it to a PC equipped with a Blu-ray burner and authoring software.

If you are using HD cams you will lose some quality as I believe the RenPlus can only edit and export up to the HDV 1440 standard (that is still darn good).

If you are using the older tech HDV cams you would lose no quality, just a large portion of your life waiting on rendering during the editing and then rendering again for the export to tape.
