Can you take a memory card, plug it into a reader and then plug the USB attached to it into an S6000, as a way of loading sound in? It has all the USB ports on it, and you can load video in with them, can you do this with audio? This would make it also possible to bring a song over from a keyboard on a flashcard and do the same thing. Does it work that way?

Yes. You have to use Media Manager and click on the "note" icon. There is no direct way via USB using the BOGART Audio section. However, you can utilize a CD/DVD for this purpose on the Bogart side.

Smart edit will do that! I'm guessing the best way to avoid eating up CD's is to load directly into the audio ports or USB from the recording device. My H2 will make mp3 or Wav, so that's good. Same for video? If you don't want to come in with a disc, feed directly from the recording device thru its USB?

I use to use CD-RW blanks so I could just keep reusing them for that on the Smart Edit machines.

Chet answered this in his Monday Morning Klatsch- yes, as long as the file is one the machine can read.
