can the Blu-ray burn SD?

I am wondering about the S6000, and doing SD work on it. Since it has a Blu Ray burrner can it NOT burn an SD disk? How would I get an SD DVD burned, if not? Its not the HD capacity that I really need it for, and I'm scared the people I do videos for won't be able to see my work unless they have a Blu Ray player. Ideas?
