I am looking for the link for was MSUS is recommending for hard drives. I know I need IDE and I forget the rest of what I need to look for. Any recommendations out there? I have a Prestige with SE9 if that matters. :)

Almost any IDE (PATA) drive should work....if you can find them. It seems only Western Digital have survived and they work fine. We have supplied up to 500gb. Make sure the jumper is set to the Master position. Prestige/Renommee caddies are now no longer available (unless MSUS have any).

Someone on the Cassie Tips List just wrote this today:
Go to Best Buy and order a WD5000JBRTL 500 GB 3.5" Pata Hard Drive for $74.99. These work great on the Prestige.

Another member of the Cassie Tips List just posted this:
FYI, at least at my local store, MicroCenter is selling remanufactured 80G WD PATA drives for $18.99. I have Krons and swap a lot of drives anyway; I have used a couple of these and they have been flawless. At those prices it doesn't make any sense for me to manage drives. 80G is plenty of room for a 2 hour video; I just do a video on one of these, label it and then
swap another drive in and start over. It also spreads out the risk.
However, if you need a sled for each drive, that will change your perspective a bit. MicroCenter also has a good selection of new premium larger drives at reasonable prices - 160G, 320G and 500G.

NB. Unlike Maxtor, Seagate etc., where the jumper is usually on the pins furthest from the power connector for the Master setting, Western Digital jumper is removed altogether (on the ones I have seen recently).
