Seagate External Hard Drive

Can someone please tell me;

How to delete films etc from the external hard drive.

I ask this because, when trying to back up new projects, backup is showing as failed. I suspect that this may be because Seagate is full. (Is there a way to check free capacity?)

I have accessed Seagate via Media Manager but can't progress from that.

Adam,

If you have used the Seagate as a "back-up" for your entire system, then you can go to the HD back-up menu and select delete weather it is several or one project., then you will gain hard drive space back for more back-ups.

If you used the Seagate for project back-ups via the project back-up menu and methods ( HDV/MTS) then all you have to do is plug your drive into a PC,select the drive, and delete the selected files or simply re-format your drive ( to FAT 32) then you will be good to go.

Hope this helps.

Joel,

Many thanks for your prompt response to my plea for help. I had thought of the PC route but convinced myself that there would/should be a method within the Cassie system. Silly me!

regards,

Adam
