I'm having a mental lapse on the final steps to get a progression in Columbus 2 to render. I've done it OK many times before, but I must be missing something vital. It's got to the perfect preview stage--a plane trip from hobart to Auckland, New Zealand, with a one-second pause in Melbourne, even archived, but it still remains at merely the map in the scene bin. The smart rendering is on. Any assistance would be gratefully received.

Everything you want to know about Columbus is right here below-great tutorials. Hopefully, you are a member. There is even an outstanding COLUMBUS INTENSIVE DVD available. Columbus is not as intuitive as other softwares. I always refer back to the below link:

Thanks Lou. Unfortunately I'm not a member as the balance between really expert up-market need , old age, minimal amateur shooting and pecuniary necessity is an ever-increasing problem. I was hoping there was someone out there who might have experienced a similar problem and has a simple solution.

Eureka! After hours of trying just about every setting in Columbus 2, I have (proudly) solved my problem. Apparently it will not create the effect with smart rendering turned on. But nowhere in a huge collection of tips on Columbus (most gleaned from the US board) have I seen this requirement mentioned. So I leave you with the hope that I might have contributed to someone, somewhere now having a solution as simple as not ticking a box.
