video clip doesn't import fully

i downloaded a few short 5 min. video clips from youtube and attempted to bring them into my s4100 (4.1 g bogart) and the last 10 seconds are always cut off. the clips are full length on the usb and when played from the usb in media manager, they are played fully; however imported to the bogart side or to media manager, they record short by 10 seconds. I have to edit from the pc and bring the clips back into the s4100 piece meal. is this some sort of protection by youtube?

Are you importing in Media Manager and then to Bogart via Archives or directly in via the Bogart Record screen ?
What format does the PC suggest that these 'movies' are in ?

Both. I tried importing directly into storyboard via the edit record as well into media manager and then from archives into bogart. both leave me short. the format is mpeg4. Again, the clip plays full length in media manager but does not import fully from either side.

I'm not sure but maybe it has to do with play/record settings.
Please try this:
Settings-->Record/Playback-->AVCHD shorten OUT
Is the setting still 000.00.00
Or by chance a setting 000.10.00

Out of interest (well to me anyway) can you split one of your 5 minute clips in two (on the PC) and then try and load both halves ?

did that also. same results. oddly enough, i imported a different clip, same format, and it outputted fully. tried a different one again, and it didn't output fully. really hit or miss even with same settings, format, etc.
