effects problem

i've downloaded some sd footage to a project in 16:9 instead of 4:3, when i put in an effect, the effect starts in a 16:9 effect and then a 1/2 second later on the screen it switches to 4:3. has anyone had this problem or any idea what's causing this problem?

What effect did you use? Is there a time factor assigned?

I am having a simular issue, as my 4.3 transitions turn to a cinema look for about half a second. If you find a solution let me know. I talked with Macro System and they are looking into it.... Gary

Why not load the 4:3 footage into a 4:3 project and then try your transitions ?

Setting the Project to 16:9 will not convert the footage only the way the machine handles it.

Did you shoot the SD footage in the 16:9 format?

we are going to reload in 4:3. which we probably should have done in the first place.

we tried many different effects and all got us the same result. we are going to reload in 4:3.
