Here is part of a process I produced for Bogart backup options, which I think is what you are looking for.
Ian
2. Backup and Restore Story Board
The story board of a project can be copied to an external HDD and later returned to the Internal HDD as required.
Backup
1. From the main Bogart SE menu. click “Project” to enter the “Project Settings” menu.
2. Under “Project” click “Select” click on the project which is to be backed up then click “OK”
3. Under “Backup / Restore” click on “Backup storyboard” and select the external destination e.g. desktop HDD No1 and click “OK”. In the drop down box, called “Please choose name”, enter a name for the story board to be backed up and click “OK”. A bar will indicate that the backup is taking place and when complete will say backup complete. Click “OK”.
Restore a Storyboard.
1. From the main Bogart SE menu, click “Project” to enter the “project settings” menu.
2. Under “Project” – “Select”, click on an empty project. Click the project box and enter a name for the project.
3. Click on the “Format” button and enter the resolution, etc, required.
4. Click the “Restore storyboard” button and from the dropdown box called “Please choose name”, select the source from where the backup is stored, e.g. Seagate No1. – “OK”.
5. From the dropdown box choose the project to be restored. – “OK”.
6. A window will appear with a progress bar as the process continues. When complete a dropdown box will ask where to be inserted, e.g. the story board, scene bin or both, tick as appropriate and click “OK” ,“OK” and finally “OK” again after the box says the restore succeeded.

Hi Johno,
please tell us which Bogart version is installed on S-4000
What is the purpose of saving a "single project"
SD or HD project
Is it a finished project you want to save or do you want to do some more editing after restoring
Or do you want to save for playing on media player
(WD Player)
Ian has given you a procedure to save the storyboard.
There are some more ways to save a "single project" but it depends upon answers to above questions

Hans is quite right, I had assumed a number of things, in my reply. Firstly since I came into the generation 3 editing fairly recently, with SE V4, story board backup was already available, but I believe it did not come in until SE V2.(something) or maybe SE V3.
My reply also assumed you may have operated similar to myself, in that I always kept my original raw DV tapes and also made a back up DV tape of the finished story board. If this is what you require and you are talking HD, then I should also have added this:-
Tip:- To save the original footage as well as the finished story board, before doing any editing, auto split the original, place all the splits in the story board and follow the backup process. Name this backup (Whatever Raw). When the (Whatever Raw) is restored it will be restored already split. Just saving the original as one file, when resorted, auto split will see this as one continuous scene and auto split will therefore not work.
This also assumes you are filming to CF flash card and will be deleting and not replacing the CF cards.
There is one other thing I might have added, using S-n-S, both story board backup and full HDD backup can be stored on the same external HDD, but are separate sections. Also full backup is accumlative, previous versions are all saved and not over written. Previous versions can be deleted if required.

If I may add: When saving a HD project in the aforementioned manner above via the project area, one can not use MTS IN Bogart 4. It doesn't function. It must be saved as HDV. Of course, this does not refer to Media Manager and the video archive folder.
