Edit Causes Solitaire to Crash

Post by roncamp »

I am working on a simple talking head project that is about six minutes long. It is comprised of several scenes tied together with crossfades and some titles. The last scene is about six seconds (no titles, just video). When I try to create the effect to fade from the scene to black, the Solitaire becomes unresponsive and then reboots. I have tried varying the length of the scene and of the black panel, but the result is always the same. All of the video is from the same source. All of the other transition fades are fine. What's going on?

One of your scenes MAY be corrupt. You will have isolate same OR try to make a SCENE of the entire SB except the area where you have the problem with the fade. Then ADD the fade at the end to a BLACK scene clip.

You could also try a variation of what Lou suggests - Make a scene of your storyboard and transfer it to another project. Then you could try to create a black clip in the new project and see if the crossfade works.
