I have a customer that has over 100 PAL VHS tape that she wants converted to NTSC DVD. What is the most inexpensive way I could effect this? I need a PAL player, are they still available? I also need a converter, how expensive are they? Can I put the signal from the converter into my Rennie or do I need a stand alone DVD recorder? Thanks in advance...

Send it out to a duplicating house and add the charge to the client.

as Lou suggest, a duplicating service would be the easiest. If you would prefer to do it yourself, you can get a one piece unit to do the conversion the same as an NTSC VHS to DVD. As an example check out this unit on ebay.
http://tinyurl.com/6wgct4p I have used this model way in the past when there were many tapes to convert. Just another alternative. I usually charged a premium for doing a conversion to DVD. If you choose to go this route, I would suggest recording directly to a stand alone DVD recorder with some type of Time Base Corrector unit between the player/converter and the DVD recorder rather than the extreme time consuming process of recording to your cassie and then "Add Film" and then burn DVD.
