Is there a Bogart equivalent?

Post by videojim »

Apparently Birdy's lessons were all done in SE time, and never had Bogart features to work with. In this 3rd t & t video, he mentions DP slowmotion. Chet's list says that's an SE only package, soooo, is there an equal to DP slowmotion in Bogart? If so, what is it? Did they fix the problem Birdy talked about, where slowmotion got jerky?

The default slow motion software essentially just repeated frames, very primitive, but free as it was a default software.

Those who owned Motion Perfect would consider Twixtor to be the equivalent although it is actually a superior software in my opinion, just considerably render intensive in the higher quality settings.

That said, you can use the lower quality settings (the Fast setting, etc.) in Twixtor to get decent results and is the way to go to try first before using the higher quality settings that require heavy rendering times.

My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.
I told them they didn’t understand life.

Yes Jim - Twixtor comes with several operators...actually I think it's like DP Motion Perfect in that regard. My favorite option with Twixtor is the Vario - mucho fun! I have a 41-minute streaming video to introduce Twixtor - click here.

Well, truth is, I am trying to do that stretch trick on T & T #3, where you double the time the scene runs. Will have to find 41 minutes and watch this-tomorrow!

Your quick answer Jim is to use Twixtor Slow-Motion for that effect. The webinar details the various settings and their results ('Quality', 'max. Motion')
