I see Columbus and Big Maps, and wonder what is the difference or connection between the two? Do you use Columbus to get to Big Maps, is Big Maps a Bogart version of Columbus, or what? Looks confusing. Thanks!

Essentially Big Maps provides the very large image files that can be used in Columbus 2 or Columbus 3 for your map background/s for your animated travel maps. Though Express Maps are quality images as well, the Big Maps collection contains many more maps of different countries and regions (thus there are four different Big Maps sets) and much higher resolution - they are bigger in image size. This allows you in Columbus 2 or 3 to zoom into a particular map and maintain good quality.
For colleagues wishing to get maximum use of their Columbus 2 or 3 Casablanca map/travel animation software, I recommend the 2-1/2 hour learning in my Casablanca Foolproof Volume 5. This 2-DVD set teaches you all the features and functions in this potentially complicated but fun software for your Casablanca. It's available in my on-line store
on-line store here, from your Casablanca reseller, and for those in the UK - from
Dalco UK.
Lastly Jim, to differentiate - Columbus 2 is for Smart Edit while Columbus 3 is for Bogart OS (and works in SD as well as HD projects).
