My play back looks fine using my Canon Vixia hf s10 camera. I can upload the footage to my Bogart S 4100 fine and using my and I am uising my Arabesk version 4.9 to write a AVCHD. So why does the DVD come out with some of the scenes I took with a slight jitter? If you would please, could you pass this post on to someone as well familiar with this process. Bob :)

I have never had any sucess with the HD on the 4000. It splits the scenes and causes a clitch in between the scenes. i am wating for the next version of software before I try again. I have been using the Apple to make my dvds the quality is not as good as the 4000 but everything is in sync the audio and video.

I don't own a Bogart machine, but I think it would help other Bogart owners help you if you both could add the version of the operating system you are running to your profile.

We need to know the settings you re using too. Are you using Blu Ray disks, or DVD's?

I've edited and burned several different HDV videos ( it's all I'm doing ) including a 45 minute one.

What Blu Ray player ?

I have tried all differnt kinds of settings, and the files either didn't load or the audio was out of sync. The last time I tried aHD file it was 12 min long and the 4000 split in two and there was a hicup in between scenes. Kindly forward the settings you are using and I will try them on my unit. The only setting that I was able to import files was the 2nd best HD setting, otherwise nothing imports.

I import HDV video via Firewire. And make sure you turn off the monitor preview while downloading. That really helped stop any dropped frames.

I will need to get a USB to Firewire cable.

Bill,

While there are adapters for modifying a USB device to mate with a Firewire port I do not think it will work with your video signal/files. HDV (as Craig is using is a largely a stream while AVCHD flavor of HD is a file). HDV is conveyed (mostly) via DV cable while AVCHD is (largely) via USB. so you would have to convert not only the adapter but the files themselves... at least that's my understanding (which is always growing and changing :D ). Eager to learn if there are other/different viewpoints or understanding here.

Regards,
Chet

All my HD projects look Pristine from my S4000Pro. There are two issues which cause stuttering. Incompatible Blu-ray players OR wrong bit rate and rendering speed used in ARABESK. Experiment FIRST with your bit rates and rendering options using short scenes on your SB.
