Everything was going fine then all of a sudden I could not add any video and this thing will not edit or allow me to do anything but watch what was previously recorded and that’s it.

I hope there is a trick to fix it

1) Make sure your PROJECT is reflecting the proper import. EX: If it is in YC and you are importing DV etc.

2) Try a different USB PORT to isolate the issue if importing DV/HD via a card media

3) Check yourCARD READER and test same on your PC or try another

4) IMPORT another card medium to isolate any card issues.

LASTLY:

Back up to HD BACKUP and start with a FULL INSTALL which will isolate corrupt files plus checking the HDD at the same time.


If a FULL INSTALL does not work then CONTACT BOULDER as it may be hardware related.

I got up this morning and tried to edit a project and it was working so I tried to record some video and as before it would only record 1 second then I went back to the project that was working and tried to edit it and it was not working again. Strange so I shut it down again and powered back up and I could edit a project again... but after a few edits it just stoped working again.

. . . any idea as to how full it is (bearing in mind that Media Manager bits & bobs uses space too . . . ?

OK, just seen this in another post;

it’s the damndest thing but the S2K was only showing 69% full but I deleted about 25% of stuff I really did not need and shut it down then restarted it and low and behold it all started working again. Not sure why that fixed it or for how long that will last but at least I can finish the project I was working on
