Hi Group:
Been away from the forum and editing for quite some time because my event shooting and editing fell off quite a bit. I do legal depositions just about 100% of the time now, which keeps me busier now. Last month I traded in my Prestige, after about 14 years of reliable editing, and purchased a new S-6000. Purchased the HD camera to go along with it too.
I've been going over all my instruction books and seemed to forgotten how we did the "Ken Burns" effect. They say the first thing to go is the memory.
Could somebody remind me which program it is in so I can brush up on my editing skills?
Thanks.

Hi Jeff,
Photo Studio is the MSUS software for photo movement.
You can create slight photo movement by using the built in Zoom function. I would recommend using just the lightest amount of zoom as zooming in on a video resolution will degrade quickly, but at the least zoom amount it still looks good and you can make the photo move subtly to any direction you want it to.

My mom always told me that happiness was the key to life.
At school they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up.
I said “happy" and they told me I didn’t understand the question.

Re: "Ken Burns Effect"
Hello Jeff,
As Tim mentioned - for creating that 'Ken Burns' effect where you pan across a photo you would use Photo Studio 2. The image needs to be loaded into PS2 and then you work inside the 'Animate' menu of Photo Studio 2. I have a tutorial on that process on my website here: http://cassieexpert.live.subhub.com/articles/20090131_7
And have a thorough tutorial DVD set on Photo Studio 2 which is available from MacroSystem US, your Casablanca dealer or in my online store here: http://cassieexpert.live.subhub.com/store/products/22
Regards,
Chet

Re: "Ken Burns Effect"
Hi Tim & Chet:
Thanks for the input.
Tim, what have you been up to? Still moving my packages with UPS?
Chet, you brought my memory back.
After reading your reply I went to my library of DVD's, and blew the dust off, that I had bought from MS.
There it was in Casablanca Video Manuals Volume 1. Played the video and just about to play with the program again with scanning some pictures.
Some of the DVD's even go back to the Birdy days, when I was in Boulder for training.
Thanks again.

Re: "Ken Burns Effect"
Jeff, Nope, retired from UPS in January 2008. I have also basically taken a hiatus away from video as well, but I cannot quite walk away from looking in on my friends on the BB. LOL
