Auto split

Loaded HD files from Sony and Panasonic Cameras. When I use aotu split, I start out with a split wit 1 frame from the previous scene and as the file is further on it goes to two frames and then three up to five. Does autosplit not work on the 6000? Also what is the big open hole right next to the on off button?

Sure, auto split works - which of the three options have you got it set too
Default is "Automatic" which I don't recommend, time (for me) doesn't fare much better so try "Start Code".
The big hole is used when the machine is sold (mainly in Germany) as a Media Centre and will take the satellite card of your supplier.
