Just wondering and HOPING does the new Bogart 5 “REALLY” make your HD on Blu-Ray look better? And does it make what you are watching during editing look better? And the BIG question is Does it really make it more compatible for playback on more Blu-Ray players? Just looking for some Feedback on the New Version. Don't get me wrong I love my S2K but I want to upgrade it if it will Really Make A Difference...

Hi Franklin,
experience with DSLR is very good,
S-4000Pro produces no crashes.

I just installed Bogart 5.6. As soon as I finish my first project on it, I'll test a Blu Ray. HDV video burned on Blu Ray looks pretty darn good now ( with version 4.whatever ). My friends are always stunned at the quality. With a SIM Lumis projector and a 121" diagonal screen, I should be able to tell. 8-)

Great Craig - eager to hear your hands-on review of the quality.
Just a reminder to you - and all other colleagues performing the Bogart V5 Update to also update your version of Arabesk.

Regards,
Chet

Well, I burned my first Blu Ray using the new Bogart 5.3 and Arabesk 5.6. I'm using the same camcorder as before - a Canon HV30 HDV cam. I also imported footage shot at the same resolution using a new Canon HFM 500. I used the High setting on Arabesk, and burned a 28 minute AVCHD video to a Verbatim 25 GB Blu Ray disk ( first time I've used these ). I used the same Oppo BDP 83 Blu Ray player, on a 121" diagonal screen, with our SIM Lumis Host projector.

The picture looks better than previous Blu Rays. Motion ( pans etc. ) are smoother. The video just looks a bit more clear and solid. I really think it's the best looking AVCHD Blu Ray video I've created. I'm very happy with the result. Looking forward to Render Booster now !!

Great - thanks for the review Craig!
First-hand experience is so beneficial... yes, reading more about the Render Booster suggests not only will we gain increased speed (efficiency) but a good deal of quality due to the compression afforded by the device.

Chet
