Color "jaggies" on HDV color letterbox

I made a Scene of a 99-minute HDV Storyboard. This showed up in the Scene Bin. I clicked on "Special" and "Black Border" to hopefully block jaggies that had shown up at the bottom of the letterbox that appeared on a 4x3 TV screen. It took about 2 days (literally) to render on my Renommee, and did not produce another scene (with a different title) like I thought it would. Also, when this last scene was put into the Storyboard, and made into a DVD, it still wound up with jaggies.

Any ideas?

Frank,

What OS are you using? If you are using OS 6 or 7, then you will need to make a scene of the entire story board then add the Cinemescope IP effect, or add a black rectangle IP effect. Try to use a VGA monitor to be able to "see" the bottom edge of the HDV letterbox so you can adjust the Cinemascope effect to cover just enough of the bottom frame edge.

I believe this issue will be fixed in OS 8 and with the new Bogart OS S-4000 Pro units.

Hope that helps.

The lower bottom and right side artifacting does not appear on the new "S"4000 model. I successfully downconverted via the "S" model to DV and then used my CINECONVERTER to letterbox.
All went well.
