Sound control - speed up or slow down

Hi Cassie List Members: It's been quite some time since I have been an active member, but I've jumped back into my Prestige for some editing needs. I have SE version 8.3.

I want to speed up some sound samples and forgot how to do that? as with the video clips I can speed them up 2x, 3x whatever... but need to speed up some "sound" effects to a double or triple speed. Using this method for transitional effects, etc.

how do I do this?: I tried scene-sample to audio but there is no function in the menu to speed up sound. I even made a sound sample into the scene bin and tried to speed up the scene, but no sound was heard.

thanks for your time and help once again... EJ

There is an audio speed effect if you own Audio Effects software (I think that was the name of it). It is not a standard feature, you must have the add-on software package to do it.

EJ,

You can also use 'Quickmotion' and 'Slowmotion' in the Special menu.
This will affect your video scenes but also yield audio modification that can be heard/used.
These are the default (included) effects in the OS that are in both Smart Edit and Bogart OS -- NOT the add-on options found in Motion Perfect/Twixtor.

Regards,
Chet

Can't recommend highly enough that you upgrade the OS to 9.1. It was especially good with audio, as I remember.
