Twixtor Update

I have a number of customers asking for updates on the forthcoming Twixtor software for the S-4000/S-4000 PRO. You may know this is this the specialized software for motion manipulation -- this is particularly important as the Motion Perfect available on the Casablanca II units is not available for the new S-4000 products.

The development team in Germany has been working with the beta version and I am told we are to expect a version here (NTSC) is the coming days. Here is a message from Macrosystem DE CEO Jörg Sprave about the software:

Hello,

We have a fully functional beta version that works really good. I have done some tests myself these last few days, and I am blown away with the results.

The photo-flash-removal tool alone is worth the price. Not only does it
identify the flash frames, but it uses Twixtor routines to replace the
damaged frames with interpolations. I have tried to find the "patched"
frames in the final video, and it is almost impossible to do so. The scene
just looks like there never has been a flash in it, even though I had 23
flashes in 1:10 minutes. An ideal basis for any kind of slow motion.

But Twixtor deals with flashes much better than the old Motion Perfect
anyway.

The new "vario" mode (using rubbing banding to control the speed of the
scene) is also very cool.

When will it be released? As soon as the beta testers like it enough. I for
one did not run into any kind of problem so far.

Regards
Jörg Sprave
