Installing Bogart 5.5c

Hello! I'm having trouble installing Bogart 5.5c. I downloaded the file and made 5 coasters on DVD so far. Using 2 different burning programs and 2 different brands of DVD+Rs. I put the disc into my S-4000 PRO, shut it down and re boot after a few seconds. The computer just boots up as usual, bypassing the install. I've compared the files from Bogart 5.3 disc and 5.5c on disc and they look similar. So I don't think I made the wrong type of disc. I put the 5.3 disc into the S-4000 Pro and it is doing a clean install. So the disc I made a few months ago is the same as the one I'm trying to install and upgrade, but the machine isn't recognizing it, as far as I can tell.

The one thing different this time was that I have recently installed WinRAR on my PC and when I downloaded Bogart 5.5c I had to extract the files using WinRAR. I then opened the folder Bogart 5.5c and saved the files inside to burn to disc. Which was how my Bogart 5.3 disc looked when I examined it by opening the disc on the PC. So could WinRAR be to blame????

So now I've Bogart 5.3 installed and it is a clean install, I just want to know if anyone has had a similar problem and what they did about it.

Bottom Line:
Why can't I install Bogart 5.5c on my S-4000 Pro?

Thanks for any help.

Could you not update (in the meantime) using the internet directly from the S4000 ?

Chris,

Just to ensure you are burning your Casablanca software as an ISO file - an image file, correct?

This is an atypical file for most folks - where we usually burn our files as data files on our computers.
On Windows computer I found the freeware application 'ISO Recorder' very easy and friendly for this purpose.
Here's a tutorial for this process for any website members who are reading this thread: http://cassieexpert.live.subhub.com/art ... 0090126_11.

The other easy (but few days until satisfaction) solution is to order the OS disk from your Casablanca dealer or MacroSystem US.

Regards,
Chet

Chet, yes I'm aware that I'm supposed to burn as an ISO image. I am not sure that is what I did or not. I burned it with my Toshiba disc creator software. The same as when I burned Bogart 5.3. As I said, looking at the files on both discs they look similar. I'm not sure how to determine if the burn on the disc is an ISO image. But I'll keep working on it and if I find a solution I'll post here. Thanks.
